Make your Embed YouTube video to Start from certain Timestamp

April 22, 2010

If you have any embed YouTube video in your site or blog and want to start to from certain timestamp for some reason, here is one simple tip for this. For this you need to add a parameter in your embed code – start. This parameter always comes in seconds only, so you have convert your time fromĀ minutesĀ into seconds (for example 1:10 = 70 seconds)

With this parameter your code would look like this. Lets say you want to watch this video directly from 35s.

<object width=”425″ height=”344″><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/7H0K1k54t6A&hl=en_GB&start=35“></param><param name=”allowscriptaccess” value=”always”></param><embed src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/7H0K1k54t6A&hl=en_GB&fs=1&start=35” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=”always” allowfullscreen=”true” width=”425″ height=”344″></embed></object>

For example watch this YouTube video.
