Hyperwords – A Context Menu with Powerful Features in Google Chrome and Firefox browsers

Hyperwords is a powerful browser extension which add an extra right click context menu with some useful options. This plugin makes very easy to interact with any text you select on a web page. Its available for both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox users.

Simply install the plugin. Now when you come across a site with a word or phrase that you don’t know, select the word, a small white round icon will appear, point to the icon and a context menu will open with many useful options such as Search, References, Shop, Share, Copy, Translate etc. The best point for the plugin is it avoids to take users away from the current webpage.

For example, you want to know the meaning of specific word on a webpage, select it and go the round icon, in context menu, go to Reference and select site Wikipedia, Google Dictionary etc. A new tab will open with the result of your search.

Some more features:-

• Quick Result - In many cases you can get results without clicking on a command (such as a search or looking something up in references. Just point to the command and wait a second).
• Quick Commands – Use keyboard shortcuts: For example ‘r,w’ for ‘References/Wikipedia.
• Invisible Commands – Select text and hit ‘Enter’ for a Google Search. Hit shift-enter for Google Lucky.
• Add Search – You can add a search from a website by right-clicking inside the search box you want to add and choose ‘Add to Hyperwords’. (Firefox Only)
• Translate - Translation will not take you to another page but right there in the place where he had selected the original word or phrase.
• Convertor – When you select text that contains numbers, you can convert currency, temperature, distance, etc.
• Customize – Click on the Hyperwords logo at the bottom of the menu to turn commands on or off. Click on ‘Preferences’ to specify how Hyperwords should work. (Firefox Only)
