WinterBoard is an open source application which allows users to mix themes together and load multiple themes at once on iPhone or iPod Touch. It also lets you set set any .mp4 file as your background as well as other things like web clips and sounds. The wallpapers in WinterBoard can be played as a slide show screensaver as they change in the background.
WinterBoard also allows you to create themes using web development languages like HTML and CSS. Even text fields in icon can also be themed like the Calendar icon date or icon labels. You can also add some new amazing effects such as animated or changing backgrounds, theming batteries, sliders, etc.
In order to use Winterboard app, your iPhone must be jailbroken and have Cydia be installed on device.
Recently, Saurik has updated WinterBoard app to v0.9.3211-1 and fixes all the problems caused by the previous update. This WinterBoard version is fully compatible with iOS 4 GM iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
To install WinterBoard, launch Cydia and press the Featured Packages button. Scroll down to the Free Extensions section and tap on WinterBoard, Press Install. When it has completed you may need to reboot the iPhone. Then you will see an icon for WinterBoard app on screen.
