Jailbroken iPhone 4 running Cydia app [Screenshots]

It has been just a week after the release of Apple iPhone 4 and the Dev Team has already managed to jailbreak the iPhone 4. It seems the vulnerability used during the Spirit jailbreak still works and some hackers have achieved root access to the phone.

MuscleNerd has just posted a tweet congratulating PlanetBeing, comex and chpwn for another userland jailbreak. PlanetBeing also posted a tweet about the news.

Think I’m the first one I know about to get a root shell (and SSH) on iPhone 4, using poor @comex’s code (since he has no iPhone 4).

Unfortunately, the tool cannot be released publicly yet, because it uses some of Apple’s software.

An iPhone hacker P0sixninja says

the jailbreak shown is a more of a stepping stone for us, it can’t be released because it includes some of apples software.

Hackers have also managed to get full root shell  access on the device using comex’s userland jailbreak method. @MuscleNerd posted a tweet about this.
