A US company named 3M has just announced a full multi-touch monitor of 22 inch display at CES 2010 which took place from June 5 to 11 in Las Vegas. This Multi-touch Display M2256PW incorporates 3M Projected Capacitive Technology and offers full multi-touch capabilities.
This touch sensitive monitor has a 22 inch wide (Horizontal/Vertical) viewing angle LCD display, HD resolutions and provides fast, accurate touch response over the entire surface. It supports a resolution of 1680 x 1050 and have DVI and VGA video inputs, an audio input and USB ports.
3M will apply a durable, streak-free, anti-glare front surface over the front of the monitor. It is capable to detect and response for 20 simultaneous touch in less than 6 millisecond. Its mean 20 finger can work on this monitor at the same time. It can works with nitrile, latex and vinyl gloves.
The monitor works with Windows XP, Vista and 7 and Linux. The device is coming at a price of $1500. But no information about release date yet.
