Every blog hosted on WordPress platform has a default page www.site.com/wp-login.php. Almost everyone knows about this so sometimes it is a very easy to hack someone’s WordPress account. Here you can use a useful WordPres plugin Stealth Login which lets you change the default URL to custom URL to prevent the hacking risk.
Stealth Login allows you to create custom URLs for logging in, logging out, administration and registering for your WordPress blog. You can also create a URL of your choice that can be easier to remember than wp-login.php, for example you could set your login url to http://www.myblog.com/login for an easy way to login to your website.
It also has a Stealth Mode which will prevent users from being able to access your wp-login.php page directly. This won’t secure your website perfectly, but if someone does manage to crack your password, it can make at least difficult for them to find where to actually login.
First Install Stealth Login plugin in your WordPress blog and activate it. Turn it on, enable the Stealth Mode and fill-up all required information. In the Login Slug field write the word you want to use instead the wp-login.php. When you are done, click the Save Changes button.
Now when you login again next time, you will see all changes. This way, you also can prevent any bots that are used for malicious intents from accessing your wp-login.php file and attempting to break in.
