Apple Magic Trackpad hacked to be powered by USB Cable [Photo]

August 20, 2010

Macrumous forum user Markblog has hacked his Apple Magic Trackpad to be powered by a USB cord instead of Apple’s dual AA batteries. So here what he did..

So I took out the batteries in the Magic Trackpad, stripped an old USB cord down to the red and black power wires, and attached them to a battery-sized dowel. Works great!

Now Markblog won’t have to spend money on the batteries. And the wireless Magic Trackpad is turn into a wired Magic Trackpad powered by USB.
