Google is at the center of the web and it sorts billions of bits of information for its users. Google started as a research project at Stanford University, created by Ph.D. candidates Larry Page and Sergey Brin and it receives daily search requests from all over the world, including Antarctica.
Now Google has reached to a massive and giant size, how massive it is?
- If you wanted to display all of Google’s indexed sites on one monitor, the screen would have to be 6 million miles from corner to corner – roughly 241 times the length of the equator.
- If each of Google’s average of 20 billion pages unique pages was to fit on an A4 sheet of paper, it could carpet North America with paper almost 5 sheets thick.
- There are 1.5 billion images on Google, and to save them all, you would need 12 million floppy disks resulting in a stack 391 km high.
