Skype now available for Android phones to make Free Calls

Finally, Skype (Voice-Over-IP service) has officially announced its Skype app for a wide range of Android phones. With the Skype app on Android, you can make free Skype-to-Skype calls and send and receive IMs for free, one-to-one or with a group.

Skype for Android will work over Wi-Fi or a mobile data connection, though in the U.S., users can only make calls over Wi-Fi connection. For now, Video calling does not work on the Skype for Android.

It also lets you make phone call to person, don’t have the Skype on phone using the Skype credits at attractive rate.

For now Skype supports Android OS 2.1 and later. You can download it from the Android Market or from skype.com/m URL on your phone.

Note:-

• Skype is not available in the Android Market in China or Japan.
• Skype has been tested on HTC and Motorola devices with Android OS 2.1 and above.
