PwnageTool v4.1.2 released to fix bugs for Mac OS X 10.5.x

iPhone Dev Team has just released the updated version PwnageTool 4.1 for Mac which will fixe some issues with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. It fixes Cydia errors that some users were reporting while using PwnageTool 4.1/4.1.1 on Mac OS X.

This new PwnageTool version offers nothing new except for bug fix. You can download the PwnageTool 4.1.2 here.

For those who don’t know, PwnageTool allows you to restore to a custom IPSW file. You can restore your iDevice to a pre-jailbroken firmware while simultaneously maintaining your current baseband and thus your device can be unlocked using Ultrasn0w.

Sn0wbreeze is the Windows version of the PwnageTool. The developer, iH8sn0w had published some screenshots of the upcoming Sn0wbreeze 2.1 tool but no word about ETA. Windows users will have to wait for it.

PwnageTool 4.1.2 works untethered on devices with iOS 4.1 firmware and support these models.

• iPod touch 3G
• iPhone 4
• iPhone 3GS
• iPhone 3G

Now if you have successfully jailbroken your iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G, iPad (iOS 3.2.2), Apple TV 2G, iPhone 3Gs (new bootrom), or iPhone 3G with any the either previous PwnageTool release (4.1/4.1.1), then there is no reason to re-run or jailbreak your device with PwnageTool 4.1.2.
