Just Recently, iH8sn0w the creator of Sn0wbreeze and some other jailbreak tools, has tweeted that he has successfully managed to jailbreak the iPad running iOS 4.2 beta 3.
iH8sn0w has used the Limera1n exploit by Geohot and implemented it in Windows jailbreak tool, Sn0wbreeze 2.1.
These are screenshots shows full root access using MobileTerminal on iOS 4.2 Beta 3 for iPad.
This means, the Sn0wbreeze 2.1 for windows users is almost ready and and should be available soon.
For those who don’t know, Sn0wbreeze is a jailbreak tool based on creating custom firmware files so you can upgrade your iOS using this files without upgrading your existing baseband so after that you can carrier unlock your iPhone using Ultrasn0w.
Sn0wbreeze 2.1 is basically a tool for Windows users similar to PwnageTool 4.1 for Mac. It would be able to jailbreak
- iPhone 4, 3GS (New and old Bootrom), iPhone 3G on iOS 4.1
- iPad on iOS 3.2.2 and iOS 4.2
- Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.1
- iPod Touch 4G, 3G, 2G on iOS 4.1
There is no word about ETA of the Sn0breeze tool, but we will let you as soon as it released.
