NoMute – Turn Mute Switch on iPad to Screen Orientation Lock [Cydia Tweak]

NoMute is a new Cydia app by Nicolas Haunold that will allow you to quickly and easily change the iPad mute switch back to the screen orientation lock switch.Apple has made a small hardware change in the newly released iOS 4.2 for iPad, making the mute switch button used as a full-on mute switch to mute system sounds and notifications. However, some users don’t like the change and wants to get the orientation lock back.

With NoMute you can make the iPad mute switch an orientation lock again.

Of course, you will need to have a jailbroken iPad on iOS 4.2.1 to install it. Follow the step by step guide posted here to jailbreak your iPad on iOS 4.2.1 with Redsn0w if you haven’t already.
