LG Optimus 2X, World’s First Smartphone with a Dual – Core Processor

Today, LG has announced its new device, the LG Optimus 2X, the world’s first dual-core smartphone. The phone runs on Android 2.2 OS and uses NVIDIA’s new 1 GHz dual-core Tegra2 chipset.

The world’s first smartphone has an accelerometer, a gyro sensor, and a micro-USB port. The phone can connect wirelessly to DLNA-compatible devices, such as home network devices and HD TV sets.

LG Optimus 2X Smartphone Features:-

  • 1Ghz Dual-core Processor (NVIDIA Tegra 2)
  • 4-inch WVGA screen with no lag on it
  • Android 2.2 Froyo
  • 8 GB of internal memory (expandable with up to 32GB via microSD)
  • 1,500 mAh Li-Ion battery
  • 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.3 megapixel front camera
  • Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G connectivity options
  • GPS with A-GPS
  • HDMI mirroring
  • USB & 3.5mm Audio Jack
  • 1080p MPEG-4/H.264 playback and recording

The LG Optimus 2X will launch with Android 2.2 but will later be upgraded to the latest version of the Android 2.3 OS. The device will first be available in Korea next month,, followed by several countries in Europe and Asia.
