MuscleNerd confirms Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4 on iOS 4.2.1 coming soon

iPhone Dev Team member MuscleNerd has confirmed on Twitter that an untethered jailbreak solution for iPhone 4 on iOS 4.2.1 will be arriving this week including all A 4-based Apple devices, such as the iPod Touch 4 and the iPad. But now he has deleted the tweet which only points that the team won’t be able to deliver by Christmas?

Tethered jailbreak means if you have to reboot your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, it shows a “connect to iTunes” logo until you run the jailbreak software again. Tethered jailbreak isn’t that bad, but if your iPhone reboots while you’re away from your computer, you cannot use the device until you re-run the jailbreak again using your computer.
