Redsn0w 0.9.7b3 Released to Fix Embedded Video Problems in iTunes

The iPhone Dev Team has released the Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 1 yesterday to untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1 iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad, then the Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 2 was released today to fix native app crashes problem including the problem with Task switcher, and now they have released Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 3.

The Redsn0w 0.9.7 b3 includes fixes even more bugs, specifically the ones related to non-GUI programs which handles media content like the embedded videos in iTunes.

The third beta is now available (testers ONLY please!).  This version extends the fix made in beta2 over to the non-GUI programs too (like the daemons that handle media content).  That should cover things like Facetime, Winterboard themes, and embedded videos in iTunes.  If you had trouble using the usbmuxd in previous betas, please wait until we incorporate that into redsn0w itself (i.e. don’t bother trying this beta3, just wait for the integration).

The Redsn0w 0.9.7 b3 is still not public use so stay away until all the issues and bugs are fixed, and it is only for beta testers. The beta version is currently available only for Mac users, Windows users will have to wait for public release of Redsn0w 0.9.7.
