Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 5 Available For Download ! Fixes Bluetooth Issues

Recently iPhone Dev Team has released the updated version Redsn0w 0.9.7 Beta 5 and now available for Download. You can use Redsn0w 0.9.7B5 to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Redsn0w 0.9.7 B5 fixes all sandbox-related issues, including Bluetooth problems on an untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak. Also added is an “anti-piracy plea” note as a warning for those of you who are pirating iOS 4.2 beta 3 firmware.

The fifth beta is now available (testers ONLY please!). Bluetooth is now working (and any sandbox-related issues should be resolved too). Please do not pirate the 4.2b3 IPSW! Only those enrolled in the iPhone Developer program have legitimate access to that IPSW using these links (http://pastie.org/1403214) (the links won’t work unless you’re a legit developer currently logged in).

There is actually a Windows version of beta5, but it’s excruciatingly slow compared to the Mac version because it’s forced to use files on your hard drive instead of RAM while it’s processing the very large IPSW images. It really is very very painfully slow, so we probably won’t be releasing it for testing purposes unless it can be sped up somehow.

This Redsn0w 0.9.7B5 also requires a 4.2 beta 3 SHSH on file (look at the top of Cydia, check to see 4.2b3 is there), and the 4.2 b3 IPSW. Please note that this version is still under beta testing and it is available for Mac user only, Windows user have to wait for some more time as its arrived soon.
