The iPhone Dev Team has announced on Twitter that the Windows version of Redsn0w 0.9.7 will be coming out soon which will untether jailbreak your iOS 4.2.1 with iOS 4.1 firmware instead of iOS 4.2b3 IPSW and without saving SHSH blobs on Cydia..
Since Apple still serves the 4.1 IPSW (not blobs!), we’ll do a Windows redsn0w release for untethered 4.2.1 via Monte-4.1
Unfortunately this version of Redsn0w 0.9.7 will not be as fast as the previous one because Windows Redsn0w will be using file-system instead of RAM which makes the process a lot slower.
Please don’t complain too loudly about how slow it takes The Win version uses filesystem instead of RAM: slow!
