Recently, the iPhone hacker iH8sn0w has released Sn0wbreeze 2.2 for Windows to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad by creating custom firmware. Sn0wbreeze 2.2 uses a kernel vulnerability ‘feedface’ (Greenpois0n exploit) in conjunction with limera1n’s bootrom exploit for untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak.

After that, an updated version Sn0wbreeze 2.2 R2 has just been released by iH8sn0w which fixes some bugs related to iBooks.

The Sn0breeze 2.2 comes with many cool new features such as,

Baseband Preservation Mode: Like PwnageTool, this Baseband Preservation Mode will allow you to preserve the unlockable baseband from getting upgraded, so later you can unlock your iPhone 4, 3GS & 3G using the latest version of Ultrasn0w.

Play a Pacman game: It allows you to play a Pacman game while the custom IPSW is building in Sn0wbreeze 2.2. You can easily switch between IPSW building screen and Pacman game anytime.

Custom Boot Logo: Like Greenpois0n RC5, it will have an option to install custom boot logos. A custom boot logo displays when you boot up the device  which is by default a white Apple logo.
