Few days ago, Apple released iOS 4.3 GM version to developers, which brings many new enhancements and improvements to Apple devices. One of the most important features is Nitro JavaScript engine, which runs JavaScript twice as fast as iOS 4.2.1 and it is ported to Mobile Safari to boot its performance .
According to Scott Forstall “As you surf the web, your fingers will love the responsiveness of the new Nitro JavaScript engine powering Safari. It runs JavaScript up to twice as fast as in iOS 4.2.1 Which means you get more speed behind each page load. And sites with lots of interactive features can appear on your screen even faster.”
Folks at iSpazio have made a video showing the performance and speed differences between iOS 4.3 GM and iOS 4.2.1 Safari browser on first generation iPad.
