A Chinese site iDealsChina has published some leaked images, claiming they are engineering diagrams of Apple’s next generation iPhone – iPhone 5.
The leaked design images looks similar to the iPhone 4, showing larger edge to edge screen with thinner bezel.
iDealsChina reports:
We just got what appears to be mold engineering drawings for iPhone 5. These would be used by case designers to create plastic, TPU, aluminum, silicone and leather cases. A while back we hear rumors that iPhone 5 would have a curved back but these images show iPhone 5 with the same form factor as iPhone 4 but with an edge to edge screen.
According to the report, these leaked engineering images of iPhone 5 are authentic because for the creation of cases, Chinese manufacturers get the design documents of models quite early. Even the leaked cases of iPad 2 which were posted in the Chinese site were similar to the real Apple iPad 2. Earlier the same Chinese site has also published the leaked images of iPod Nano 4G which turned out to be real.
