April 6, 2011

Apple’s iPad 2 lets you mirror the iPad’s display screen on HD monitor or TV using the Digital AV adapter. But this cool features isn’t available on first-generation iPad. However a jailbreak hack is available enables the video mirroring on iPad 1 with some simple steps.

First you need to jailbreak your iPad running iOS 4.3.1 using any of the PwnageTool, Redsn0w or Sn0wbreeze tools.

Once your iPad is jailbroken, follow these steps by steps guides.

- Navigate to system/library/coreservices/springboard.app;

- Download the K48AP.plist file on your computer;

- Add the string “display-mirroring boolean YES” and make sure the file looks like the image below:ipad 2 mirror

- Upload the newly edited file back to your poor unsuspecting iPad & restart it.

- Start video mirroring using either the VGA or Digital AV Adapter – with fingers and toes crossed.

You are done. Now you can enjoy the video mirroring with first-gen iPad via Digital AV adapter or VGA.
