Yesterday at Google I/O 2011 event, Rovio founder Peter Vesterbacka (makers of Angry Bird) announced the web based Angry Bird game with some exclusive levels, available only in Google Chrome.
This is only a beta release of the game, and so far we have 63 levels of the original game available, with an additional 7 special Chrome levels! We are working on bringing more levels to Chrome, and planning on making the Mighty Eagle available as an in-app purchase option.
This version of Angry Bird was build using WebGL and Canvas. It can also be downloaded locally so that the player even can play without having to connected to internet. It also support the in-app payment to buy the coveted Mighty Eagle. Angry Bird for the web is available in both SD and HD versions.
You can download and install the Angry Bird from the Chrome Web Store and start playing Angry Bird. If Chrome is not your choice of web browser, you can still play Angry Bird. Just launch your choice of web browser and navigate to this link – http://chrome.angrybirds.com/
