Jailbreak Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.2.2 using Seas0nPass [Untethered]

Apple has just released iOS 4.2.2 for Apple TV 2G to fix some bugs and for improvements. Now the Firecore team has updated version the Seas0nPass jailbreak tool for untethered Apple TV 2G jailbreak on iOS 4.2.2.

NOTE: Seas0nPass provides an ‘un-tethered’ jailbreak for the latest 4.2.2 (iOS 4.3) AppleTV software. This means the steps found under the “Using Seas0nPass for a tethered boot” section can be skipped.

Requirements:-

Download SeasonPass Untethered 4.2.2 Apple TV 2G:

• Seas0nPass for Mac
• SeasonPass for Windows

Download iOS 4.2.2 Firmware For Apple TV 2G

Jailbreak Apple TV 2G Untethered on iOS 4.2.2 using Seas0nPass

1 - Download and launch Seas0nPass jailbreak tool.

2 - Click on “Create IPSW” option.

3 - Seas0nPass will automatically download all the iOS firmware files required for Apple TV 2G.

4 – When prompted by Seas0nPass, connect your Apple TV device using micro-USB cable.

5 - Hold down both the “Menu” and “Play/Pause” buttons for 7 seconds to put your device into DFU mode.

6 – Once your device in DFU Mode, iTunes will automatically open to start the restore process.

7 - Wait, till the iTunes complete its restoring process. And then, unplug your USB cable and connect the HDMI cable to install your desire applications.

You are done now. Now You should have untethered jailbroken Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.2.2.
