Download Grooveshark songs Directly in MP3 format using Firefox Add-on

Grooveshark is a famous online music streaming service which lets you stream & listen your favorite songs free of charge. Users can search, share and upload music on Grooveshark and also can create playlists.

But Grooveshark don’t allow you to download or cache music directly because of copyright issues.

Here is a Firefox add-on called Groove Shredder that let you download Grooveshark songs very easily while listening to them. All you need to do is download & install it in Firefox. Than go to the Grooveshark site in Firefox browser and play the song you want to download. A small dialogue box will pop-up automatically, choose the path where you want to save the mp3 file and click the Save button to download the song.

Using the plugin, you can’t listen song online while it is being downloaded and each time you press the Play button, the Save As dialogue box will appear. So when you don’t want to download songs, disable it from the button in toolbar.
